Paradiddle mit Schlepp/Paradiddle avec fla (not a Swiss rudiment)

Not a french rudiment
Origin, Character, Tempo, Appendix
The Flam Paradiddle is the same as a Single Paradiddle, but with the addition of a grace note on the accented first note. The Flam Paradiddle can be challenging to play at higher tempos, as the the added grace note requires four taps to be played in sequence on each hand. The flam, as is its usual function, further distinguished the accented part of the rudiment from the taps. Like the Single Paradiddle, the taps following the accent should be played at a consistent low dynamic and an even rhythmic spacing.
Like with the single paradiddle, the Flam Paradiddle takes the same form and structure however adding a grace note to the start of every 4 taps. This can be quite tricky to achieve and is introduced later on in training once eveness is achieved accross the paradiddle range. The flam should be accented whilst all other strokes remain the same.
